Virginia Beach FWB Day School, a ministry
of Virginia Beach Free Will Baptist Church in Virginia
Beach, VA., first opened it's doors to students in the
Fall of 2002. It was the vision of the church's
pastor, Dr. J. D. Norris, the governing deacon board and
fellow church members, that prepared the way for the
facility to be readied for students. God has blessed us
with a wonderful administration and staff that is
committed to providing a loving and safe environment for
the working families of our community.
We admit students of any race, religion
or national origin and is open to all families who
desire a Christian preschool for their children. Infants
at least 6 weeks of age are accepted, and are invited to
stay with us through Kindergarten (age 5). Our children
are placed in age appropriate classes to coincide with
the Virginia Beach Public School System. A child must be
of age by September 30 if the current year. Example - a
child is 2 at the beginning of school but will turn 3 on
October 1st or after that child will receive a K-2
assignment.
Upon enrollment of your child in our
school, we will assume the responsibility of assisting
you with special needs in relation to your child
including conferences in relation to your child's
progress, and giving them our maximum consideration as
an individual. Our desire is for the spiritual, academic
and physical development of our children.
We pride ourselves on being safety
conscious, and our facilities have been constructed with
the safety of the children as our first priority. As a
ministry of our local church, we are currently Church
exempt from state licensing. All codes have been met
with the departments of Social Services, Health, and the
local fire marshal. Staff members are certified every
six months in CPR and First Aid. All teachers are either
licensed, hold certificates, or have been trained by a
licensed instructor using the Abeka material. |
